I think this rustic box is 2 gifts in one; not only is it a gift box it also makes a great standing ornament for adding to your holiday decor.
The wooden box measures 6 inches long x 4 inches wide and is 1 1/2 inches deep. It has 2 hidden magnets that help keep it closed.
I distressed the wood and pained it with gold silver and green metallic paints. I made the insert with sparkling Christmas red polymer clay and embossed it with a tree and accented the embossed tree with red Swarovski crystals. I then further embellished it with copper wire and seed beads.
