Abalone shell pendant with peridot and truquoise chips necklace. Love this color combination, I plan do do more pieces with this color combo! Necklace measures appx. 18" long with 2" extender, Sterling Silver accents and Steriling Silver wire wrapped pendant.
Pendant measures appz. 2 1/2" long - including the bail and sprial at the bottom, about 1" across at the widest point.

General Gemstone Details Abalone is a beautiful shell showing a play of bright blues and turquoise across a polished surface. Shells are the outer housing (exoskeleton) of sea-creatures, and is an organic gemstone which has been used in jewelry making and religious ceremonies for countless ages. Usually found off the coasts of South America, Japan, and China. Mother of Pearl and Paua shell is simply the dark blue and pearly lining of the Abalone shell.
