Brilliant colors in a nice roving made from the wool of Texel sheep at Border Springs Farm in Patrick Springs, Virginia. I took the wool to Central Virginia Fiber Mill to be processed into this lovely, easy to spin roving. There's an article on our web site at http://www.greenberryhouse.com/texel_wool.htm about Texel sheep and the properties of the wool. This roving was dyed with acid dyes in the colors of deep red, red, lilac and shades of brilliant blue. This roving would spin into a nice springy yarn that would make excellent outer wear such as mittens, hats, or even a heavy sweater! Net weight: One ounce. Made in Virginia product!
