The acorn caps were selected for their size, color, and shape. Then they were soaked and carefully scrubbed clean with antibacterial soap. After being allowed to dry fully, the acorn caps are rubbed with bronze pearlex powder, drilled and sealed with Triple Thick Diamond Glaze.
Inside each acorn cap, I place a smooth, round, 15 mm Picture Jasper bead. Not only was the Jasper a perfect fit for the acorn caps, but it also looks very natural...almost like a real acorn nut.
All of the findings in this pair of earrings are copper, except for the niobium ear wires. The ear wires are hypoallergenic niobium. Niobium is the perfect solution for brass and copper ear wires, which can irritate some peoples ears.
Total length of these earrings is 50mm.
