A pair of coin shaped fine silver charms hang on hand formed sterling silver ear wires. The charms measure 13 mm (1/2 inch) in diameter.



These earrings are created entirely by hand, starting with raw materials, in this case metal clay and sterling silver wire. The metal clay consists of small particles of recycled silver, an organic binder and water. After the clay is fired in a kiln, the organic binders burn away and the end product is a fine silver piece of jewelry. It is an exciting medium to work with, and a more earth friendly alternative to newly mined metals.



Fine silver offers the additional advantage of not tarnishing as quickly as sterling silver.
