This is a packet of 50 organic Sweet Basil seeds. Basil is an annual herb growing to 2' tall. They like full sun and plenty of water and the leaves may be harvested once they reach 7" or so. To germinate, sow 1/4" deep and keep moist for germination in 1-2 weeks. It is a great companion plant for tomatoes and of course they go together wonderfully in dishes as well!



Basil's name is derived from the Greek word for King as it was considered a royal fragrance. Basil is wonderful in many dishes, including tomato dishes, eggs, salads, vinegar and tea.

Medicinally, basil may be used to treat colds and flu, nausea, migraine, insomnia and depression.



All of my seeds are harvested by hand from plants grown organically, without the use of any chemicals. Seeds are packed in plastic bags and are kept cool until shipment. Please convo me with any questions.
