A thick, heavy brass necklace, woven in a dense spiral chainmaille weave. Each ring in this design was woven one at a time by hand into the Jens Pend Linkage 5 pattern of chainmaille. This pattern can be difficult for beginners and even intermediate chainmail artists. It's very complex (as you can see from the pictures). I've woven it just right here for you, so you can enjoy this handmade piece of jewelry without having to fiddle with all the small rings yourself.

This necklace is thick and heavy. Would be a great design for a man, or a lady with attitude. It weighs 70.6 grams (about as much as 12 US quarters or about half as much as an iphone). It's 5/16 inch thick and 21 inches long including the clasp.

The rings used to make this necklace are just gorgeous. They are solid red brass, with nice flush cuts so the joins are smooth. Best part about them? They're made from square wire. The rings are not round, so they catch the light and have a great texture and sparkle to them.

I handcrafted a hook clasp from the same 18 gauge wire made to use the rings. The hook clasp makes it easy to put the necklace on and take it off. I hammered the clasp to flatten it out a bit, and then I then tumble polished the entire thing for shine and durability. Your necklace will be re-tumbled before shipment to ensure it arrives to you bright and shiny.
