I have covered it with royal blue cardstock with black velvet ribbon trim along the binding.
To the front I have adhered the word " JOURNAL" in sparkly blue chipboard letters.
There is also a square that I reclaimed from an old greeting card in a darker blue with a leaf and flourish design in lighter blue.
Inside on the front is the same blue paper with a small pocket made up from more of the greeting card remains.The back inside is covered with black cardstock.
There are also two matching bookmarks in blue and black card with navy ribbon trim.
I covered everything with multiple layers of decoupage medium for durability and some waterproofing.
