Yarr! These runes be pirate booty from a gypsy soothsayer, found in a sunken treasure chest at the bottom of the sea.
Well, I like to pretend that, anyway. They are really grey polymer clay with silver and gold powders dusted all over them (a few also have glittery pigments on them, as well). The coin impressions on the front (made from a dragon pendant and a metal fake coin) and the ridges on the back (those were made by a seashell) were made by pressing the objects into the clay. The runes are painted on with black and grey acrylic paints, and the stones were then painted over with glossy varnish so that the paint would not rub off as easily and to make them even shinier. The coins were all handshaped, so they vary some in size, but they are about 1 1/4" (3.2 cm) tall and wide.
This set of runestones includes all 24 Elder Futhark runes and two extra blank ones (one silver and one gold). I do not use the extras for divination purposes (although some people use a blank 25th rune), but I am including the extras in case you want to or if one happens to chip or break in the future. (They are sturdy and should not break, but just in case your dog gets one or it falls out a window or something.)
I am also including a handsewn black pouch with a skull and map design. The bag is about 6 3/4" (17.1 cm) tall and 4 3/4" (12.1 cm) wide. The bag ties shut with a gold ribbon that has two red plastic pony beads on the ends.

I, however, am not including any means of reading the runes- there are plenty of websites and books on the subject of runes out there. If you need any basic info or would like to be pointed in the direction of good books on runes, just ask and I will let you know some that I have found useful.
