This is a packet of 20 Velvet Queen Sunflower seeds. These are gorgeous drought tolerant early blooming sunflowers in shades of velvety red accented with a yellowish circle and with an almost black center.



Sunflowers are easy to grow. They are an annual and this variety blooms early with many 5"-6" flowers on each plant. The plants grow from 4'-6' tall. They make great cut flowers and are a beautiful and unusual sunflower. They bloom in various shades of red from sunset orange to a mahogany color, with some being lighter and some darker. This year I had one that was yellow with red bands. I've tried to include photos of the color ranges they come in. They're all gorgeous!



This variety is my favorite. It was cultivated by the American Indians and is a great plant for attracting birds and bees. Plant seeds 1/4" deep after the last frost in well draining soil.



All of my seeds are harvested by hand from plants grown organically, without the use of any chemicals. Seeds are packed in plastic bags and are kept cool until shipment. Please convo me with any questions.
