For those unfamiliar with paper piecing, the design is drawn out on a tissue-like paper, and fabric pieces are sewn to the back side to create the pattern. When reversed, the completed pattern is revealed. It sounds confusing, and can be a tricky endeavor, but the results are more detailed and intricate than a regular method of quilt patch sewing.
The back of the stocking is an ecru velvet, and the stocking is completely lined in ecru moirre. The front panel is quilted to a layer of cotton batting, using the in the ditch technique.
Measurements:
Top opening: 9 across
Length to heel: 16
Length of foot: heel to toe 12.5
Total length: 28
Hanging Loop: 7 total length
