Starting with a transparent base of dark aquamarine blue and swirls of silver glass frit, along with that bit of fine silver, the focal is shaped by hand in the flame into a traditional shape. Add a couple of spacers and the set is finished.

The beads are made one at a time by me in my studio. They go from flame to kiln to be annealed to make them as strong as I can. Because each bead is made by hand, you may find some differences from bead to bead.
