This journal is styled after a small sized moleskine- 3.5X5.5 inches and about half-inch thick. When made by hand these are called a Hedgehog. It is entirely hand-bound. I start this journal with hand cut and hand-folded paper and stitching. The unlined white colored 75lb cardstock acid free pages are sewn with unbleached Irish linen thread. The spine is clamped and glued by hand with acid free glue.

After the spine is dried the book block is then adhered to the cover using the same acid free glue. The bookblock consists of 100 pages of acid free 75lb cardstock.

The book block is smoothly glued to the cover and clamped for a secure bond and flat covers. The hard cover of this journal is covered in warm gray handmade paper, waiting for decoration or embellishment. The gray paper is slightly textural and fiber filled. Its very tough and very nice.

The covers of this journal are hard and stiff. The major difference between this and the original modo modo moleskine is that it’s entirely handmade.
