This ceramic mask is handbuilt from earthenware clay using actual maple leaves from my yard. As with all of my leaf work, I roll actual leaves into wet clay and trim around them. The leaves burn off in the kiln leaving their unique impression. This mask is made up of 8 individual leaves.

The unique leather finish is achieved by buffing on multiple layers of wax and pigment.

A picture hanging wire is attached to the back of the mask for easy hanging.
