Ceramic leaf tray painted with underglaze, about 6" by 3 1/2" by about 1/2" high.
This tray was made by hand out of clay. A hosta leaf was rolled onto the clay to leave the impressions of the veins in the clay, and little pieces of clay were added for the ladybug. The tray was painted with brown and yellow underglaze on the leaf, and black and red underglaze for the ladybug, after bisk firing. Clear glaze was used over the underglaze to make it durable and food-safe.
This would make a beautiful spoon rest or guest soap dish!
The tray is food safe, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe.
