My Recycled Wood Block Necklaces are made with nearly ALL recycled materials-- I start with a piece of scrap wood that I hand cut, sand, and drill. I cover the wood with a decorative piece of recycled paper (from catalogs, old atlases, art books, etc, and decoupage one of my own original digital photos with a homemade, eco-friendly mixture. Pendant is sealed with a non-toxic coating of varnish to add extra UV and water protection.

The elastic cord, which is also second-hand, purchased from a garage sale from a few years back, allows the necklace to fit over pretty much any size head, and can easily be re-tied to make a shorter, choker-style necklace, if desired.

This necklace features a speckled butterfly on a dandelion with a matching speckled background.
