This is an ultra whimsical ceramic teapot made to resemble a real reef fish. The inspiration for this fish is based on the Coral Hind Grouper. Lolas best friend ironically is Sonya the pelican. A love for glitzy bling brought these two ladies together. Both are decked out with ceramic beaded necklaces, Lola has earrings and both have rhinestone studded sunglasses to top off their fabuloso ensambles.

This is for a made to order teapot. Please allow 4-5 weeks for shipment.

This teapot measures approximately 10 from lips to tip of her tail, 10 in height including her beaded wires and 5 deep.

The teapot was formed using soft earthenware clay. I used the potters wheel to throw her ring body and a inverted cylinder for her base. She was finished off using handbuilding techniques to bring her to life. All of the clay and glazes that I use are certified non-toxic, leadfree so if you want to give her a smooch, go right ahead.

This teapot has all of the elements of a teapot but isnt practical for use. Because of her lucsious lips, shes a drooler. No microwave for her either becuase of the metal wire embellishments. She does make a fantastic addition to a teapot or fish collection or for someone that loves whimsy.

Fish Inspired Serving Dish

Fish Inspired Serving Dish The dish was formed with earthenware clay using the slab method. The hunk of clay was rolled into a thin slab of clay and then draped to form it's shape. I cut the clay in a random free form manner to add a little pizzazz to the piece. The dish re...
