Every part of these of these earrings is created from scratch from the ear wires to the headpins. They start with rectangles cut from copper sheet. The design was drawn by hand and the copper was then etched in a ferric chloride solution. Fine silver scroll work is attached to the top and bottom with sterling silver rings. Everything has been oxidized and then polished to highlight the texture. The finishing touch is 4mm green amethyst faceted beads dangling from the bottoms.

They measure 1 3/4" long not including the ear wire by 1/2" wide.
