The focal point of this piece is the gorgeous shining lampwork bead. Made of layers of both soft and silver glass and further enhanced by rolling in pure, fine Italian silver and flame polished to a lovely high metallic shine. The bead has been flanked by two 5mm copper beads and wrapped with coiled copper wire. The Fibula itself is made with very sturdy and resilient 16 gauge copper wire.
The point has been hand filed to a nice tapered yet rounded point, in order to prevent damage to threads of clothing.
Fibula measures approx 2 5/16" long and just over 1" wide.
