I found this exquisite brooch at an antique store and decided to convert it to a pendant for a necklace set. I don't know the elements it is composed of, except that I believe the middle stone is a quartz bead. In considering how to design around it, I kept thinking of a lovely lady of means strolling Fifth Avenue in New York on a shopping trip. (My imagination gone wild!)
Accompanying this lovely brooch are 8mm faux pearls of the same cream color as those on the pendant, interspersed with 4mm Swarovski golden shadow colored bicone crystals and then within this grouping, a threesome (on both sides) of 6mm crackle glass round beads which are used again at the end of the necklace in graduated sizes up to a Swarovski golden shadow crystal. The clasp is a gold filled trigger type and a gold-filled extender chain allows the necklace to be adjusted to a different length. The extender chain has a crackle glass and crystal dangling from the end. The matching earrings are composed of one larger crackle glass and two Swarovski golden shadow crystals with black seed beads between. They drop from gold-filled ear wires.
The necklace measures 18", not including the extender chain which adds another possible 3" to the overall length. The pendant is approximately 2" in length, including the pearl drops.
This is an exquisite necklace, reminding one of a bygone era. It would definitely bring comments of admiration your way!
