A lovely teardrop shaped, dichroic fused glass cabochon in fuschia pink and amber on silver. I've wire wrapped it in sterling silver wire that is beaded in silver Czech charlotte beads. Approximately 54mm x 22mm or 2 1/8" x 7/8".

I'm still working on the chain for this piece. I'm thinking a smoky grey organza ribbon or a gunmetal chain.

This necklace comes nicely packaged in a small gift box. The pendant has been signed with my initials, "WW".

Inspiration / Story behind this Product:

I joined the Art Every Day Month challenge, this is my second piece.

About the dichroic cabochon: All of my cabs are fired & annealed in a digitally controlled kiln using compatible glass. First I start by fusing a "slab" of glass. I cut the desired shapes out on a ring saw and clean the edges up on a grinder. Then I used a channeling bit to put a groove or channel on the edge of the cab. It then goes back into the kiln for a fire polishing cycle.
