Misses' Dress and Vest -- Dress with long set-in sleeves and sleeveless long vest. Dress, fitted by French darts in front and vertical back darts, has center back zipper and bias band collar sewn to neck edge. Lined vest has shaped fronts fitted by French darts. Neck is scooped in front and vest is buttoned closed. Garments are interfaced where necessary.

Sometimes it's far more fun to sew something from another time.

Sometimes it's even more fun to update it or make it a little differently to suit your taste.

And sometimes the only thing you can do with that totally awesome vintage yardage you have is build an equally awesome vintage garment. But the only way to make it look "right" is to use a pattern it was meant to be used with back in the day.
