With the lid on, it stands 3.75inches high (from the tip of the lid handle to the tabletop) and 4 inches in diameter.
It's perfect in your kitchen as a sugar jar, flour jar, maybe a few treats for the kids. Would even be great for doggie treats!
Personally, I keep one of these on my desk filled with hair elastics so they are always in reach and my cat doesn't eat them.
This would also make the perfect single guys casserole dish. Perfectly safe for cooking, this would serve a big healthy bowl of french onion soup or could go straight from the oven to the table with a single serving of casserole. I've even heard of people making a small cake in these designed to be eaten straight from bowl!
The outside glaze is a matte blue which turns purple where it pools thick. This gives the lid a lovely circular design in purple on top of the light blue. The inside is glazed with a foodsafe glossy dark purple glaze.
Holds approximately 12 oz.
Full disclosure: The lid does have a crack on the underside (see pic 4). I decided that I like it as it adds an organic look to it. It is only cosmetic and does not effect the functionality of the dish at all.
Safe for the oven, microwave, and dishwasher.
