This is a 1.8oz Top Whorl Drop Spindle. The whorl measures 2.5" and the total length of the spindle is 9". This spindle comes with Wind Rose Fiber Studio's directions for use as well as a leader cord. The wood is unfinished and ready for spinning. If you like, you can have some fun by staining or painting your spindle with your own creative design.
If you are new to spinning and wondering what wool would be best, I would recommend BFL, Falkland or Corriedale. All three of these have a longer staple length and would be a great choice!
