A little baby octopus hangs from the mom's arms (you can make the purse with or without the little one, or you can make the baby one as a keychain). You can also make the handle longer so it can be carried over the shoulder.
Oli loves it and says that it looks like they're swimming in the air when she carries the purse around (you have to love 3-year olds).
The purse turns out to be approx. 4.5 inches/11 cm long (counting the arms and NOT counting the handle). Mom's body is approx. 3.5 inches/9 cm wide.
They're crocheted with odds and ends of worsted weight yarn, and have OPTIONAL plastic eyes and a little zipper.
