The design was burned and then painted. The outer part of the design and back of the plaque are natural/unpainted. The front is coated with an acrylic sealer to enhance and protect the design. The edges of the plaque are beveled. I nailed a metal hanger to the top of the back to make for easy wall mounting.
There is metallic silver paint on the vase, metronome, and the girl's dress buttons. There were some accidents during my move and the plaque has a small dent line on the top left. This is visible in the pictures. I have discounted the plaque to accommodate this imperfection.
