Hello and thank you for stopping in! Here is another bookmark creation that is a combination of small format watercolor painting embellished with a leather tassel that is beaded with sterling silver and wooden beads and natural stones. Not just an ordinary bookmark here!

This is an original watercolor pencil painting on cotton rag Lenox 100 paper acid free.

To compliment the painting is a beaded leather cord of a deep rust color. It's been spliced back on itself at both ends to secure to the vinyl sleeve and the custom made matching glass pendant charm. At the end of the cord is a handmade glass charm of the horses head surrounded by a silver metal frame. The back of the glass charm reads "Texan Made 2009". In front of the horse charm is a complementary beading embellishment of four tiny wood heishi beads framing two sterling silver tube beads, on each end of the heishi is a silver colored tiny spacer bead and a round bead of a natural leopard skin jasper. The other end of the tassel that attaches to the sleeve embellishment has a repeat of the two sterling silver tube beads framed by three tiny wood heishi on each end. All beading is sewn with jewelry wire and glued for security.

The painting is encased in a sturdy vinyl sleeve and the painting is removable from the sleeve but the tassel is permanently attached. Paper used is a cotton rag Lenox 100 (wet media multi purpose paper that I love using!)

The lovely handmade glass charm is made by fellow Texas artisian Brenda Wampler of brendawampler.etsy.com .

Painting size 7" x 2 1/8", vinyl sleeve 8 3/4" x 2 1/4", the leather tassel is approx. 4" long. Beads range from 2mm to 5mm.
