Studio Policies for MadeByMoms
PAYMENT:
*We accept payment through personal checks, money orders, credit cards, Revolutionary Money Exchange and PayPal.
*PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU'RE PAYING THROUGH CHECK OR MONEY ORDER AND WE'LL SEND YOU OUR ADDRESS.
*Payment is due within three days of purchasing the item. If payment is not made within one week, the sale will be canceled and the item relisted. If you cannot make the payment in that time, please convo me and I will try to work with you.
*Florida purchases are subject to a mandatory 6.5% sales tax.
*Cancellations are accepted as long as we have not shipped the item. All cancellations will be refunded in full. Cancellations made on a custom order where work has already begun will be assessed a fee to cover materials purchased and time spent.
SHIPPING:
*We ship via USPS Priority Mail based upon the final weight and size of the object. If at all possible, we will try and ship things via the flat rate boxes to make things more economical for you. We DO NOT charge handling fees -- you pay the only the cost of shipping (and insurance, see below). We wrap all of our products in tissue paper and either tie it with a nice bow or use a Made By Moms label to close the tissue paper.
*If we end up overcharging you for shipping, we will refund to you any amount you pay for shipping that exceeds $1 more than the actual cost. For example, if you purchase three blankets and pay $10 for shipping but I ship it for $8, I will refund $2 back to you.
*When at all possible, we try to ship the very day the payment clears, but it will be no longer than two business days. Please note that personal checks will need to clear our bank before we ship.
*We have recently revised our policy on shipping. For items valued at over $50 insurance will be factored into the cost of shipping for your protection and my own. The cost of insurance is an additional $2.15 for items valued at $50 - $100 or $2.60 for items valued at $100 - $200. This will protect both you and I in the event of a lost or damaged package.
Please note: It still doesn't protect if your package is stolen, so please ensure it is delivered to a safe place.
If you are purchasing items that add up to over $50, insurance will be added to your final cost in the amounts above.
If you are purchasing items that do NOT add up to $50 or more, insurance will be at your discretion. Please note: if you choose to not add insurance, I cannot be held liable for damages or loss caused by the USPS. Please purchase insurance!
**IF YOU DO NOT WANT INSURANCE** Please notify me and I will decrease your price by the resulting amount, however you acknowledge the fact that I withdraw all responsibility for the package once it has left my home. Thank you for understanding and I heartily advise keeping the insurance... it's not that much more!!!!
*You are welcome to upgrade the package to Express Mail or One Day delivery through the USPS at the additional cost.
*We do ship internationally but each country is different. To find out your shipping cost you must convo us with your address before you pay for the item.
REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES:
*We want our customers to be 100% satisfied and will definitely work with you.
If you would like to return an item for reasons other than it is defective, we ask that we be notified within SEVEN DAYS. Please take these steps to return an item:
*Contact us within seven days with the reason for the return and whether you want a refund or an exchange.
*Ship is back to us in the same box used to ship it to you and in the same condition -- no removed tags, new, clean, unused, etc. Please note that you are responsible for return shipping!!!
*Once we get it back and ensure everything is ok, we will immediately process your refund MINUS the original shipping costs.
This means you will only be responsible for the shipping costs, we do not charge return fees.
*If the item is DEFECTIVE, we will pay for you to ship it back to us and we will ship a new one out to you, free of charge. We are also willing to refund the ENTIRE purchase price, including original shipping. We are positive you will never receive a defective blanket!
F.A.Q:
*Do you do custom orders?
**Yes, we can create many things via custom orders. Anything you see in the store can be created especially for you -- if you see a burp cloth you like and would like a matching blanket, we can create it for you. We can make banners for any occasion and we even hand-embroider! Simply email us if you have a custom order request.
*Is your house smoke/pet free?
**I can guarantee that all of our products come from a completely smoke-free home -- no one in my family or friend list smokes, so none of our creations are ever around it. However, I must note that we're a pet-friendly house. I have three cats and a dog and they love to "help" me sew. IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO CATS OR DOGS, PLEASE WASH OUR PRODUCTS AS SOON AS YOU RECEIVE THEM... which probably is good advice anyway since we sell baby products!
*How much is personalized embroidery?
**Because it is done by hand and NOT a machine, it will cost approximately $4 - $6 per letter (depending on the size and font requested).
*Would you sell wholesale?
**It depends on which product you'd like. Our burp cloths and onesies we offer for wholesale, our large quilts we do not. We also do not drop-ship or consign our products.
*What if the product I receive doesn't stand up to my expectations?
**While we feel this will never happen (it's certainly never before), convo us and we'll do everything possible to make you 100% happy!!!
*Will you gift wrap?
**Yes, we do offer gift wrapping for an additional fee. All gift wrapped items will come wrapped and tied with a bow. The cost of the wrapping will depend on the final size of your box, but it can range anywhere from $3 and above.
*Will you ship directly to the gift recipient?
**Absolutely.
*I see a blanket in your shop, but no accessories... can you make me anything else?
**Again, absolutely. We have most of the fabrics used in stock and the rest we can order. We can create everything from matching onesies to bibs, burp cloths to pillows. We can even create an entire crib set (with blanket, bumpers, diaper stacker and bed skirts).
*I see a gift set in your shop, but I'd like to only order one piece, is this possible?
**Yes! We would create a custom listing for you to purchase a single item, then we'd custom create it just for you.
*What is your wait time on custom orders?
**It really depends on the size and complexity of the custom order. For tshirt quilts and photo quilts we ask for two weeks from receipt of materials. For simple things like burp cloths and blankets, custom orders would take a matter of days.
*Do you do rush orders?
**If you need something like a memory quilt or photo quilt ASAP, we are willing to do rush orders on a case-by-case basis.
