Meet the Maker: popnicute
Popnicute (read: pop-knee-cute) wire wrapped jewelry is created by me, Kharisma Ryantori Sommers or Kay for short. The brand Popnicute is uniquely mine, created from long hours of brainstorming. Popnicute is an abbreviation of POPular, uNIque, and CUTE. In this name lays my hopes in becoming popular one day, to always creating unique jewelry and other handicrafts, while being cute as button :3
I couldn't care less about what's popular. I want to be unique and I will be glad providing unique items for unique individuals like you.
Arts and crafts have been my passion since i was a little girl. I've tried many art forms during my years growing up. I have a Bachelor in Art degree, majoring in graphic design. Jewelry always fascinates me and I love wearing the unique kinds. Often I'd make one for myself just to be different than anyone else. From simple stringing to paper clay, and just recently, this Summer'08, I found my calling in wire wrapping precious metals. I've been so passionate about this that I wanted it to be a serious business. I strive to give the best for my customers. I love you all and I will always give my best!
Right now I'm trying to collect money for my big move to the US next year (summer 2009). I'm getting married! :D

this item was inspired by my own relationship with steve. up until now i still can't decide whether to keep this or to sell it.
my first jewelry sold online was a commission piece from a friend in new zealand. she wanted a tree with tiger eye stone and copper as those two materials had special meaning to her :) i loved the outcome and so did she ^^
my favorite pieces always turned out to be commissioned pieces. this pumpkin leaves were created as a request from a client who bought my pumpkin necklace. she wanted new earrings to match the pendant.
the most challenging and elaborate piece i've ever done using many many feet of argentium silver wire. inspired by bollywood fashion. very elegant and ethnic.
