Meet the Maker: CloudHaleDesign
Aloha and thank you for visiting Cloud Hale Design. Hale (pronounced 'ha-lay') is the Hawaiian word for house. My name is Tina Cloud and I am the artist. I worked as a professional interior designer for 13 years until I married a military man and we started moving all over the world. I keep my creative juices flowing by designing and making artisan jewelry - it helps that jewelry is small and fits into whichever hale we happen to be living in.
My jewelry designs are inspired by my world travels, my love of the ocean (and tropical weather), as well as my fine art and interior design training. I use quality metals such as PMC (.999) fine silver, sterling silver (.925), tribe silver (.95), 14K gold filled, and vermeil (22K gold plated over sterling silver). The stones and beads that I use vary from semi-precious, precious, glass, and crystal. I select stones and beads that match my inspiration, the mental picture that pops into my head, or the inspiration might be a beautiful bead itself. One of my favorite things to do is to handcraft distinctive pendants and charms from PMC (Precious Metal Clay). I consider each piece of jewelry that I make a unique piece of art. I also enjoy doing custom orders.
Thank you for your support. I hope you enjoy your pieces of jewelry as much as I enjoyed creating them.
