Meet the Maker: Mariekuniek
I'm a lampwork beadmaker living in the Netherlands nearby Amsterdam. I first started lampworking in 2007 and am addicted to glass ever since.
My lampwork beads are handmade with care in my little blue homestudio in my backyard using a Minor Bench burner and highquality Italian, German, Tsjechic and American soft glass, also known as 'soda lime' or 'COE 104'.
The glass for the beadsets is unless mentioned otherwise, wound on a 3/32" (2mm) mandrel. The trollstyle beads all have a 5mm beadhole so they will fit all types of bracelets.
To assure maximum durability and long-lasting beauty, my beads are always properly annealed overnight in a digitally controlled kiln and each bead hole is carefully cleaned using a diamond reamer to remove all release material leftover. I'm a registered Self-Representing-Artist, SRA nr. #E25.
