Hi and thanks for dropping by to find out a little bit more about me.


I'm a self representing artist ( SRA ) - and completely self taught. My home studio is located in Sydney, Australia. I design both beads and jewellery and pretty much anything in between.


My lampworking journey began back in December, 2002 when I received a wonderful Xmas/Birthday present from my husband and son - a book by Cindy Jenkins titled "How to make Glass Beads", a hothead torch, some tools and a handful of glass.


Since then, I've upgraded my torch to a Carlisle Mini CC and use this in combination with an oxygen concentrator. She's a little beauty and although I am only working with soft glass at the moment, such as Italian Moretti and German Lauscha, I plan to move into hard glass as well (which apparently my torch can handle - YAY).


I can't really say I have any particular style in the sense that I don't stick to making the same thing over and over. My creations tend to change from day to day, pretty much reflected upon my mood and influenced by many things. My inspiration comes when I close my eyes at night and it's not uncommon for me to wake up and make a note of what I'd been thinking/dreaming of - something to refer back to if my muse takes a holiday. A little weird but that's the way it is!
