In the uncertain months after 9/11, I was a freelance writer but that was a rough time. Then one day I realized, "Hey! I could be an artist and making just as little money, or maybe even less!" So I set up a fiber arts business, did the art show circuit, then set up shop online. I became a powerseller on eBay, then branched off into Etsy and Artfire. I eat, think, sleep, paint, write and ruminate all things creative.
My nickname has nothing to do with this, but I was a "DJ" and radio newsperson in college. I was hilarious at both--not necessarily a good thing--and very disorganized. I didn't know then that I had adhd.
But enough about me. No, wait, it's my bio. Ummm...My mother is a retired art teacher and I think growing up amidst all these art supplies and lesson plans has made me something of a "craft enabler." I love to make things. But I also enjoy making things for you. I tend to take on more projects than I can handle, so sometimes I start on a project and then sell off the components instead of making it myself. Or sometimes I make a yarn just to see how the colors look, and that's enough for me, so I sell the yarn instead of using it.
I have seen how many people enjoy using my yarns and other odds and ends I create. They take pictures of their completed projects and email them to me, which always make me beam with joy. And once in a while, someone says, "I had a lousy day until your yarn arrived!" That's when I feel I have made a difference on this planet. I have customers who have knitted their way through chemo or other crises using my yarn. Perhaps I am only a stranger on the internet, but when I help someone in some way, it seems to make a difference to them and to me.
Is this long enuf?

Artisan Gallery
Arielle's Dream (now sold out) was one of my best sellers.
I began this business weaving handbags, but soon learned everybody wanted my yarn like crazy.
I recycle and sew like crazy, but I seldom have time to sew goods to sell cuz everybody wants the yarn.
Mine! Handwoven by my mom, assembled by me. That's a Fossil leather belt.
I wove a lot of ponchos when those were all the rage.
