Creating art is my hobby and I just can't get enough of it. I'm from the Philippines where I graduated in Architecture. Here in US, I went to Santa Monica College to take some Art classes and a bit more Architecture using computer. My husband and I have our own drafting company here in California that assist Architects. On my free time I do my art and crafts, and one of them is making jewelries. I started making handmade custom or faux jewelry a year ago and I'm hooked. It's relaxing, exciting and fun. I really enjoy creating wonderful things and sharing them to everybody.
The following are how to take care of your Jewelry-
HOW TO CLEAN YOUR STERLING SILVER JEWELRY:
To keep your designer inspired sterling silver jewelry clean and ready to wear use a soft and smooth, preferably 100% cotton cloth and softly wipe each piece of sterling silver jewelry clean of make-up and skin oils after each wearing. Remember sterling silver jewelry is made from a relatively soft metal and you can scratch it if you aren't careful so don't rub it too vigorously. Always use a clean 100% cotton or a special sterling silver cleaning cloth. Do not rub silver with anything other than a polishing cloth or a fine piece of velvet. Your jeweler should be able to provide these. Tissue paper or paper towels can cause scratches because of the fibers in these products.
STORING YOUR STERLING SILVER JEWELRY:
Store your silver in a cool, dry place, preferably in a tarnish-preventive bag or wrapped in a soft piece of felt or cloth. Store pieces individually so that they don't knock together and scratch. Make sure your silver is not exposed to air and light during storage. This can cause silver to tarnish. And don't wear sterling silver in chlorinated water or when working with household chemical's.
CARING FOR COPPER JEWELRY:
1.An easy way to remove tarnish which does not damage stones is to clean with white vinegar. Take an old toothbrush and dip in vinegar and lightly brush surface of copper.
2.Keeping in a ziploc bag or box when not worn helps keep tarnish down. Make sure item is completely dry before sealing in bag.
