Payment
I accept PAYPAL. I would prefer that a customer does not use the "concealed cash" method, personal checks, or money orders. If NO communication OR payment is received within 72 hours, I will cancel the order. I will communicate with the buyer prior to canceling, just to make sure there aren't extenuating circumstances. I also reserve the right to cancel an order for any reason, and if this happens I will provide an explanation.
Shipping
I send most items USPS First Class. If there's a 10 cent difference between First Class and Priority, I'll send it Priority. I also use Priority Flat Rate boxes.
Please double check your address and see that it matches with the address that is on the paypal account you are paying with. If they don't match, for whatever reason, please contact me. If I receive no communication, of cource I will attempt to contact you. If no response is received within 3 business days, then I will ship to the PAYPAL address. Please understand that in order for me to be covered under seller protection, I should ship to the address listed in PayPal.
If shipping is returned due to buyer's error (inaccurate address, etc), buyer will be sent an additional invoice via paypal to cover cost of re-shipment. The item will ship upon payment.
Get the most out of your shipping fees! If there is something I will be sending in a priority mail flat rate box, why not fill the box?
I send delivery confirmation with all US orders provided the package is large enough, and most are. I ship all orders within two days (most of the time next day, or same day). I do NOT ship on Saturday.
As of October 2008 I also provide the following services:
US orders up to $25 will have Delivery Confirmation as long as the package is large enough.
US orders $25-$50 will have Signature Confirmation.
US orders $50-$200 will have Signature Confirmation and Insurance (black label).
US orders $200-$500 will have Insurance (blue label)
US orders $500 and up will be sent Registered Mail.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: I use USPS for international orders, HOWEVER, if you are worried about your order reaching you, I would recommend paying extra for a more secure service. For a higher shipping fee, I will send orders via FedEx, UPS, or DHL, please email with your shipping preference for price quotes, especially on heavier items. If you've noticed, I offer international shipping on lightweight items and request to be contacted for items which weigh more than 4lbs or 2 kilos.
Please be aware of import laws of your country and do not order something which will have difficulty making it through customs inspections. Also be aware any customs tax and do not ask me to check "gift" on the customs form. Not only is it illegal, but as a USPS employee I would risk losing my job over it. Please don't ask me to check gift, because I will still say no, sorry. I am not responsible for the taxes you may incur by purchasing these items.
Refunds and Exchanges
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
International orders do not have delivery confirmation and you are ordering at your own risk (see above for alternate shipping options). International refunds will be in the form of store credit only.
If an item breaks from normal use within the first 90 days, I will fix and return it for free. After 90 days I will ask that you pay shipping and a $5 repair fee, unless otherwise noted. However, if you would like to attempt a repair yourself, I will tell you what materials to use and how to do it for free. :)
WHOLESALE INQUIRIES:
I offer a wholesale rate on my Clock Hand Earrings ONLY. Minimum order is $93.75 for 10 pairs at retail/2 OR 20 pairs for $150 at retail/2.5. Please convo one week ahead of time and I will create a custom listing for you when they are done and ready to ship.
I do not offer wholesale on my one-of-a-kind creations, vintage, or supplies items.
Other:
As a rule, I don't use reproduction skeleton keys unless I find them for free and in that case, they're usually quite tiny charms. I'll always note if it's a fake one.
I don't deconstruct working watches, and so far can't bring myself to deconstruct a broken watch I have that dates back to around 1920.
I also don't drill holes in coins. If I use any coins in my pieces, it was either made that way or the holes were already there.
I use genuine sea glass which I found myself. If I didn't find it myself (i.e. found it at Salvation Army), I will tell you where I got it from. If it's not sea glass and only looks like it, I will tell you that it's CRAFT glass, not SEA glass. Being upfront and honest is very important to me.
I won't break good bottles. They have to already be cracked or broken for me to break them further.
