Please start by telling us a little about yourself and your studio.

I am a country girl and native from a small town in upstate South Carolina. Growing up in a small town has so much to offer, I played outside a lot, so that has led me to be creative and imaginative. That is another reason I love making Acai jewelry! Every piece I make in my studio is a part of me.

If there’s one thing that defines you, what is it?

What defines me is that I like to go about things in life uniquely and honestly.

What role does your family play in your art?

They are my biggest fans; they have all supported me from the very first.

Where do you live and what is it like?

I live in Pickens County South Carolina. We have plenty of lush trees, creeks, mountains and mountain rivers. What I truly love is the waterfalls!

Where did you learn your medium?

This is the big question, for me anyway; I became much more "crafty" after I was hypnotized and I love it.

What are your goals with your ArtFire studio?

My goals are already going down the right road; being on ArtFire is great! I want get more involved with the site itself and my fellow artists.

How did you come to selling online?

I first started selling on eBay; I have come a long way since then!

What is the best piece of advice you can give other artists?

Enjoy what you do/make, that is what makes it beautiful!

Why do you think that buying and selling handmade products benefits society?

Handmade products have always been a benefit to society because most of materials we use come from nature. As far as my jewelry, handcrafting Acai jewelry means each piece is helping to save the rain forest in Brazil.
