The previous post Top 5 Apps for Sewing and Knitting, we looked at some help apps for knitters and sewers. There are not that many crafts out there yet strictly aimed at crafters. Previously we looked at Sketchbook, an app that provides painting and drawing tools, and Craft Finder an app that provides access to FamilyFun's library of craft ideas. Below are some useful apps for a wide variety of crafters and artist.
This app is a great tool to use if you are in a craft supply store, or at a yard sale and you find yourself needing the measurements of something but don't have a real ruler. This app could be used for anything from knitting and pattern making to measuring wire. Measurements are presented in cm and inches. The Android Marketplace also has Super Ruler, which is also free.
Clear and Simple Stamps has its own app that provides daily paper crafts. The daily projects have full color photos, complete supply lists and step-by-step instructions. Clear and Simple Stamps also accepts project publication submissions, so if you would like to be featured on the app, view the guidelines and submit your project.
This app is a great way to keep track of your thoughts and keep things organized. If have scattered notes, sketches and ideas littering your desk, car and bedroom, this can help you get everything in one place. You create notes that can have audio, image, video, text, tag, date, and even GPS data. Never wonder "What was that great idea I had?" again.
This sketching, drawing and painting app has over forty brush and pencil effects, and also has layers, multi-touch and video playback of your painting. It can be used by beginners and advanced user. See Sketchbook for iOS.
One app that make the last post for knitters is this one from Lion Brand Yarn. It comes with thousands of patterns you can search, download, favorite and keep notes about. You can even search the pattern by level of difficulty.
