Amazon Payments is similar to PayPal, and works by allowing Amazon users to purchase from your ArtFire studio using their payment information already set up on Amazon. In order to accept Amazon Payments and receive access to unlimited credit card payments and other features, you'll need to sign up for a Business account. If you already have a personal account you can upgrade your existing account to a business account as well. Click here to get started.

You'll need to provide an email address you'd like to use as your login and set up a password. To sign up for your business account you'll need to supply some information about yourself, and your business. You'll also need to attach a credit card and a bank account, and follow pretty much the same steps you went through to open a PayPal account.

Amazon Payments will confirm your bank account by making two small deposits. Check online after a day or two, or check your statement in the mail. You'll just need to let Amazon Payments know the amount of the two deposits to confirm your bank account information. IMPORTANT: You must have a confirmed bank account attached to your Amazon Payments business account before you can accept payment via Amazon Payments on ArtFire.

Accepting Amazon Payments in ArtFire

Now that you've got a confirmed Amazon Payments business account, you're ready to accept Amazon Payments from your customers. IMPORTANT: You must confirm your bank account before your customers will be able to purchase via Amazon Payments. If you add the button to your cart before you've confirmed your bank account your customers will get an error message and will be unable to purchase via Amazon Payments. Once you have confirmed your account, just head to the "edit my profile screen" via MyArtFire and provide the email address you used to log in.

Once you've added it to your store, you're ready to accept payments! Customers will now see an option to pay with Amazon Payments upon checking out from your studio.

If you have more questions about setting up Amazon Payments or need help, please don't hesitate to email us at service@artfire.com. You can also contact us on Twitter, Plurk, or in the Chatterbox Forums if you have questions.

I've tried to set it up and it tells me my banks website is not available. its there when I look,

I was wondering about how long it takes for the verifying deposit, do I need to re apply because they couldn't access the web site at that time, no word and no deposit as yet, it has been almost two weeks.

It should only take about 2-3 business days for the small deposits.  That's how long it took for mine to process.  I would definitely contact Amazon.  Good luck! : )
