Setting Your Avatar Posted On: 04/20/2011 Last Updated: 08/31/2011

What is an Avatar?

Your avatar on ArtFire can be thought of as a graphical representation of yourself.  Your avatar will display in your studio next to your banner; your avatar will also show next to your business name when you interact in different sections of the ArtFire website.

Example of where your Avatar will show up:

At the top of your studio

Your studio's footer

The ArtFire forums

Next to your comments on other ArtFire pages

How to upload an Avatar:

Step1) Get your Avatar image ready (choose what you'd like use and put that image into a folder on your computer so that you can find it when you need to upload it).  The image you upload should be square.  It can be a picture of yourself, your product(s), your pet, or anything else you'd like to use.

Step 2) Go to the Studio tab in MyArtFire and go to "Studio Design" on the left navigation. You will be taken to your studio, where you can click on the gray gear button in the bottom left corner of your avatar:

In the window that opens, browser to your avatar's location on your computer and hit the "open" button. That's it! If you want to change it at a later date, just click the gear again (only you will see it, your customers won't). You can also hit the "Uploads" tab in your studio's themer to change either your avatar or banner at any time.
