Your Studio Payment Options Posted On: 04/20/2011 Last Updated: 04/28/2011
What is a Payment Method?
By setting up a Payment Method for your studio you're giving your customers a way to pay for the goods or services sold in your studio. In this case "Payment Method" refers to how your customers pay you.
For the majority of sellers PayPal is the most popular choice for accepting payments. You're welcome to get a seller account with Amazon Payments and Google Checkout and set-up your studio to accept those as well, but they are not required (PayPal isn't required either but it is highly recommended).
How to set up a Payment Method in your Studio:
Step 1) Go to the "Payment Methods" section in your MyArtFire. This is located under the "My Account" header tab:
Step 2) Click the check box next to the option for PayPal and enter the account information required. For PayPal, we'll need the email address associated with your PayPal account. This does not have to be the same email on file with your ArtFire account.
Step 3) Once you've typed in your PayPal email address, click the "Save These Settings" button.
Your Payment Processors are displayed in your studio so that prospective buyers know how you accept payments.
Once you've added one payment method for your studio you can move on to the next steps for setting up your studio. If you decide to add more options later you will be able to do so.
(Instructions for other processors can be found in the Help Guide Index)
