Why Feature My Shop on ArtFire?
The ArtFire Marketplace attracts millions of visitors each month, and you can get in front of them with Featured Shop advertising. Featured Shop ads display at the top of thousands of popular ArtFire pages like categories, search results, and gift guides. You can generate interest and traffic for your shop with just a few easy steps.
What Does a Featured Shop Ad Look Like?
Featured Shop ads are 235 x 235px large squares; they display in sets of 3 at the top of many ArtFire shopping pages.
Featured shops ads are made up of 1-3 product images from your shop's inventory. You set the main background image and can (optionally) include 1-2 smaller product images as well. A small thumbnail version of your avatar or bio picture is seen next to your customizable ad message. All these elements combine to make a single Featured Shop ad.
How Do I Make a Featured Shop Ad?
With the Featured Shop Ad Creator. You'll need to have at least one active product as well as an avatar or bio image uploaded. You can play around with the Ad Creator without purchasing any actual advertising. You can save up to 50 different ad designs at one time.
How Much Does it Cost?
All Featured Shop advertising in each section is sold on a flat "Rate Per Week" basis. Depending on the number of other ads in rotation your ad's effective CPM or CPC can fluctuate. Each section has a limited amount of space avaliable at any given time, a week is "sold out" when the maximum number of ads have been scheduled to show in that section.
What does that mean in plain English? It costs $20 per week to advertise in a section; how "good a deal" that is depends on the number other ads showing. If you happen to buy advertising in a section with only a few other ads showing, your ad will display often and you'll get a lot of impressions (and hopefully clicks!) for your $20. The total number of people who can advertise at any one time in a particular section is capped based on the expected level of traffic that section has historically received.

The "Marketplaces" sections are effectively top-level category advertising. Each main ArtFire Marketplace is its own section, that includes: Handmade, Fine Art, Design, Supplies, Media, Vintage, and *Commercial. When you buy advertising in a Marketplace section, your ad can show on any category page within that Marketplace. For example, if you feature your shop in the Handmade Marketplace, your ad could show at the top of the "Handmade >> Jewelry >> Necklaces" category page or at the top of the "Handmade >> Clothing" page. All main categories, sub categories, and sub-sub categories within a Marketplace display Featured Shop ads.
*Commercial - Only Commercial sellers can advertise in the Commercial Marketplace. Commercial sellers cannot advertise in the Traditional marketplaces.
Search Results Section
The "Search Results" advertising section is a broad and diverse advertising opportunity that bundles together all searches that use the ArtFire search engine. The results page for an ArtFire search is the single-most trafficked shopping page on ArtFire. You can put your shop in front of thousands of buyers each week!
Sales and Deals Section
The "Sales" section bundles together the deal-oriented sales pages linked from the front page. Your Featured Shop ad will show at the top of http://sales.artfire.com, http://freeshipping.artfire.com , http://bogo.artfire.com , and http://freegift.artfire.com . If you're looking to promote a sale, why not get in front of shoppers who are looking at deals already!
Trends & Holidays Sections
Like the Marketplaces, each Trend and Holiday Gift Guide is sold as a separate section. Advertising in Holiday Gift Guides becomes available as a holiday approaches and traffic to a particular gift guide increases.
Featuring your shop on ArtFire is simple and easy. If you have an active item for sale, an avatar, and already pay for your subscription via credit card, you can create a new ad and feature it in just minutes.
Step 1: Create a Featured Shop Ad
From the "Design Ad" page you can make new ads in seconds. Drag and drop your desired item photo(s), write a short ad caption and you're done! Your newly created ad can be scheduled and managed from the "Purchase Ads" and "Ad Stats" pages receptively.
Step 2: Purchase Ads
Once you've made an ad, you can purchase Featured Shop advertising and schedule that ad to display in a section of your choice. Advertising is sold in individual seven day blocks. To see what advertising time is available, select an ad to feature by clicking on it and pick a section from the drop-down menu to see available dates.
Each seven day block begins on a Sunday and ends on a Saturday. Available weeks/blocks can be selected by clicking on the first day (Sunday) for that week. You can schedule more than one week at a time, however, you can only schedule ads up to 90 days in advance.
Step 3: Review and finalize your purchase
After pressing the "Review Details Before Purchasing" button, you'll see the exact campaign details and total cost before finalizing the the order. Depending on how you pay for your current membership, you may be able to one-click purchase your order or you may need to set up a credit card to pay for your order if you haven't already done so.
