By now a majority of people have kicked the desktop pc for a smaller, sleeker laptop. Now that we’re traveling with our computers, they have become an extension of our image. Not to mention they all look the same running through airport security. In comes stickers, cases, and all means of creative laptop covers to give our laptops the same individuality we strive for.
BookBook, a hardback leather case that emulates a vintage copy of a classic book, was designed to cover the MacBook Pro. Each cover is handmade and distressed; this means no two are the same.
Laptop skins are another great defense against blending in with the crowd. They are basically large stickers that protect the surface while giving your workspace character.
The Rendezvous Project laptop cover is designed to always stay on the computer and also features a built-in carrying handle. Their motto is “the fusion of lifestyle and art,” which is clear in this environmentally friendly design.
Feeling a bit creative? Try a DIY project to protect your laptop. This overachiever bent two pieces of plywood to create this magnificent design.
Creativity can be found in the mundane day to day. Few of us can get by without our electronics. Pieces like this soften the hard edges and open us up to new ideas. By Jennifer Diana
Great ideas and beautifully designed items. I particularly like the wooden cover and the Rendezvous. My own laptop is ancient and heavy though so I don’t carry it anywhere!
I love the old book case! Very classy.
I love the bookbook case! I’m just so disappointed that its only for Macs. I have a PC laptop. Wish there was something like that for pcs.
