The Garden Trellis is an exquisitely illustrated and, at the same time, a very practical garden gift book. Within its covers, gardeners will be inspired to incorporate small trellises in their gardens and will learn how to build nine simple but elegant designs. A section of thirty fullyillustrated plant profiles will help them choose vines honeysuckle or roses, porcelain berries or moon flowers that are appropriate for their gardens and for particular trellis designs.

Written and illustrated by Ferris Cook, The Garden Trellis is suffused with personal experience as well as horticultural detail and lore. Ferris Cook editor of Garden Dreams, 1991, and Invitation to the Garden, 1992 draws upon her own gardening observations to explain how she first approached trellises and vines and what she has learned about them.

Filled with wonderful, casual anecdotes, this charming book also contains an abundance of practical information. Its like Ferris is taking you on a tour through her garden and gardening experiences. Clear and concise instructions for building the trellises and a list of materials needed all serve to make The Garden Trellis tremendously useful. Its very convincing for gardeners trellises can be easy to build and trellises will transform the garden with simple vertical accents

A list of sources for readymade trellises, plants, and seeds will help even the novice trellis gardener get started, along with blue prints for 9 gorgeous trellis styles.

This book shows as new profusely illustrated throughout, 96 pages. The hardback reference is clean and bright and is without tears, creases, folds, or marks. I found two flaws a light shelving scuff at the front upper left corner and an inside cover scuffing where Im assuming a previous owners book plate was removed. All pages are here and the binding is secure.
