"Nimble" the 13" yoyo monkey has 44 hand stitched yoyos. The arms and legs are made with "yoyos" individualy stitched pieces of fabric to form a circle/rosette. The yoyos are then strung together to make the limbs. Yoyos were used to make blankets in pioneer days using feed sack material. The pioneers also used yoyos to make dolls and toys. This is my take on that idea. Nimble's face was designed to be completely versatile, with a different shape for the face I can easily make rabbits, monkeys, puppys, bears, and lil people with this same pattern. She features 16 handsculpted hand colored claws, (that she will NEVER use on you) handscultped eyes and nose. Needle sculpted face and feet, that she sat very still for. She will never be duplicated. Aurora's fur is super soft buttercream accented with dark cream paws and footpads, featuring chocolate brown courdoroy toes. She knows she pretty, and has the slightest grin that shows it. She is jointed in 5 places with nonslip plastic joints and poses very easily. She loves to lay on her back with her paws in the air. She also loves to watch the birds outside, until she rings her bell and scares them off. LOL Aurora is NOT a toy, care should be excersised around small children as her limbs were not made to support the weight of her body. She is an artist collectable.
