I just adore this simple hard-working Alpine couple. I think that they have so much potential for the imagination. Children love to mimic their mothers and fathers and these couples in this series are a great way for the child to focus on the primary relationship in the family. These dolls are quite large, both being nearly 2 feet tall. Although they have fingers and toes, they are simple rag dolls and have no hidden anatomy. In the picture example, she is wearing an authentically styled dirndl. The apron, head scarf, dress, and shoes are completely removable. Included are a slip and drawers. Her hair is long and "blonde," braided down the sides. She is about 21 inches tall. He is dressed in the traditional fashion of the Austrian hunter: his lined jacket features buttons on his lapels, and he is topped with a red felt hat (you can pretend it's wool). He has suspenders that button on with a breastplate. He also has a short-sleeved button down shirt. He includes a pair of boxers. All of his clothing is also completely removable.
