Rag Dolls with Handmade beaded trims Set of 5 cute unique stocking stuffers. They are soooo cute, I hardly want to part with any of them. They are all different in some way. Different hair, different dresses and different shoes, boots, leggings, socks etc.Dolls have a full head of hair. (no bald backs) I figured you would want more than one as it would not be worth it to send just one through the post ... so this listing is for a random selection of 5 dolls. Great as stocking stuffers for little girls. They are approx. 8 1/2" to 9" inches tall. (21.5 cm to 23 cm tall)

	The red handmade beads which are wrapped with gold threads, and the front panel of this bright and colorful journal are made from a "fat quarter" that Santa put in my Christmas Stocking last year. (thank you Wendy). Besides the usual fringe or tassel of beads that I love to see hanging from the spine of my hand stitched books, I also added lots more beads on shorter strings falling in the direction of the cover. Today, I got delivery of a few thousand (Im embarassed to tell you the exact amount but trust me ... lots and lots ... ) black pony beads and those are what I used between the rolled handmade paper beads on the tassel strings, ... so on this particular journal, not all the beads are handmade.The particular method of stitching that I use to bind most of my journals evolved from the coptic stitch and involves sewing on cords leaving an open spine. This allows each book to open completely flat which is a wonderful feature when writing, gluing or sketching and also strengthens the spine.This book has 224 pages.Book measures 228mm X 23mmApproximately 9" x 8 7/8"This book is numbered and signedCOUNTING PAGES:When I list the number of pages in a book, I am referring to one side of each leaf. For example, in a book with numbered pages, Page 17 would be on one side of the leaf or piece of paper, Page 18 on the other side. Therefore, a book with 224 pages would have 112 leaves

	This journal is large enough for all your creative sketches plus a few pasted in photos. The decorator fabric covering has yellow and white roses and two handpainted look vertical bands on each side of the flower motifs. Six strings of carefully chosen handmade beads are mixed with wooden beads and daffodil yellow pony beads. A fabric covered "button" adds extra interest to the front cover. Lovely journal as a gift for that very special person in your life to record wonderful dreams or memories.The particular method of stitching that I use to bind most of my journals evolved from the coptic stitch and involves sewing on cords leaving an open spine. This allows each book to open completely flat which is a wonderful feature when writing, gluing or sketching and also strengthens the spine. This book has 224 pages.Book measures 228mm X 23mmApproximately 9" x 8 7/8"This book is numbered and signedCOUNTING PAGES:When I list the number of pages in a book, I am referring to one side of each leaf. For example, in a book with numbered pages, Page 17 would be on one side of the leaf or piece of paper, Page 18 on the other side. Therefore, a book with 224 pages would have 112 leaves.

	I call this journal Florida Sunset because it reminds me of sailing on the St Johns river with the sun setting in the west, and the moon rising in the east both at the same time. On the still water there were some amazing reflections of Water Hyacinths that made them look like weird creatures floating by!

The pages open flat for sketching writing or pasting. A lovely earthy journal for someone very special.

The particular method of stitching that I use to bind most of my journals evolved from the coptic stitch and involves sewing on cords leaving an open spine. This allows each book to open completely flat which is a wonderful feature when writing, gluing or sketching and also strengthens the spine.

This book has 224 pages.
Book measures 24cm X 12.5cm
Approximately 9.5" x 4.75"
This book is numbered and signed

COUNTING PAGES:
When I list the number of pages in a book, I am referring to one side of each leaf. For example, in a book with numbered pages, Page 17 would be on one side of the leaf or piece of paper, Page 18 on the other side. Therefore, a book with 224 pages would have 112 leaves.

	</a>
	Inspired by an Aboriginal painting this earthy, rustic journal is full of outback, down under charm. It was in the making for a couple of weeks until I found the little wood carved Gecko which just seemed to belong. It was just the thing I needed to finish it off. Choosing the beads was fun. I must admit I got a bit carried away and eventually spent about 4 hours trying out different bead combinations before I felt perfectly happy with the results. The background is heavy cotton fabric to which I added hand painted dot art.

Each of the three main cords are crossed at the back of the spine for added strength and stability. The book also opens flat for writing, pasting or sketching in a similar fashion to that of the coptic binding technique.

	Journal 27 - Rustic Earthy Journal with Sticks, Wood Carving and Handmade Macrame Beaded Tassel
I made this one to replace a similar one that I sold earlier but this time I added a small wood carved Gecko to the cover. Luckily I photographed the book before adding the gecko because for some reason I could not get a good shot after it was added. Maybe it had something to do with a change in the light. I did however get a good shot of a very similar gecko and I added that to the cover digitally. There is a slight difference in the pattern on the geckos back but dont worry, the effect is exactly the same.
This is a lovely journal with an earthy look, decorated with a variety of different kinds of sticks that have been stained then stitched to a fabric covered panel in a vertical pattern and framed with two very thin timber slats on either side. The spine is decorated with twelve strings of hand made beads mixed with black pony beads that form a tassel effect flowing from macrame knotting. The spine cords are also crossed for added stability and added design interest. Anyone who likes earthy things would love this journal.

	</a>
	This journal was inspired when I found a batch of handmade paper that I made about six or seven years ago. With only 12 sheets to work with, I combined them with off the shelf paper that is printed to resemble handmade paper. Each signature consists of 1 sheet of handmade paper and three sheets of the printed paper. The covers which are made from MDF are decorated with a floral patern. The beads that decorate the tassels are all handmade. The soft colors which range from apricot to pale peach to cream or off-white and then to subtle shades of gray are quite romantic and lend themselves to a wedding journal or wedding planner. A few photos could be added to the handmade pages and notes written on the printed paper.

The particular method of stitching that I use to bind most of my journals evolved from the coptic stitch and involves sewing on cords leaving an open spine. This allows each book to open completely flat which is a wonderful feature when writing, gluing or sketching and also strengthens the spine.

BOOK DETAILS
192 Pages - Cover Size: (15.5 x 22 cm)
(6 1/8 x 8 3/4 inches approx.)

When I list the number of pages in a book, I am referring to one side of each leaf. For example, in a book with numbered pages, Page 17 would be on one side of the leaf or piece of paper, Page 18 on the other side. Therefore, a book with 224 pages would have 112 leaves.

The covers of this journals were first hand painted and then sponged in shades of blue. The paper covered panel features a daisy motif in cream, biege and blue. Other embellishments were added including strings of hand made beads mixed with plastic and wood beads. I also added a small brass name plate that has the word "LIFE" on it. The spine has six strings of beads forming a sort of tassel. The front edges of the books pages are individually hand cut "Ocean Wave" style.

The particular method of stitching that I use to bind most of my journals evolved from the coptic stitch and involves sewing on cords leaving an open spine. This allows each book to open completely flat which is a wonderful feature when writing, gluing or sketching and also strengthens the spine.

BOOK DETAILS
224 Pages - Cover Size: (15.5 x 22 cm) (6 1/8 x 8 3/4 inches approx.)
