Rag Cloth doll Animal Bear

A big hello;

I wanted to talk about a cute bear I did up a while back using a plaid flannel.  First I created just a simple pattern for the bear by drawing it out first then transfering the idea on wax papper for the pattern pieces, I have mention that wax papper works well for making patterns or heavy duty paper.  Next I cut out the pattern and the bear shape then I began sewing raw edges to face outward so that the bear has that frayed edging around the outer edge.  I filled the bear with fiber fill and used some buttons for eyes, sewing them on by hand of course.  On the belly of the bear I add a sun flower by using paint and designing my own flower, then using photo transfer paper I ironed the flower on to the fabric; actually before stuffing the bear I just thought I better mention that being I forgot to earlier.  The final touch to the bear is the single strip of fabric that is used for a bow around the neck of the bear.

Adding Some New Products

A Big Hello to everyone!

Well today I was busy busy on the computer adding items to the Art Fire store; today I have adde a cute wall hanging quilt for Halloween.  I whacked out this quilt using not a single pattern just my own ideas of what a night of trick or treating might be like at an old house.  I must say though, the jucies got flowing after watching "The Great Pumpkin"  even as old as I am I still love watching it.  I used all kinds of cotton Halloween fabrics in the quilt and the backing is flannel; I have also let viewers know that I will cut some bamboo to place through the loops to hang this quilt.

Next I added my little sister doll, there is three of them and they are from some vintage patterns, they are made with cotton doll fabric and I added black beads for eyes instead of using felt for eyes as the pattern suggested so a tiny change to something old.  I also added some cute plush dogs that I did up a while back there is a mama dog looking after her small baby and they would make great shelve sitters or they could even keep a door open.  I loved this fake fur it was a dark orange, I weighted mama with a bit of cat litter, so I hope you all will come check out what is knew in my Art Fire store.

Back Again and Adding Kitten a rag cloth doll Witch

Hi to everyone again, for now I think things are getting back to some type of normal.  Today I just added a new doll, actually a new witch even though it is kind of late to be adding her but Kitten is a special rag cloth doll.  Well for one thing she is orignial and just from the old imagination.  I created her about a year ago and thought she needed to be adde to the store.  Kitten is different because I added green cat safety eyes to her and then I used some heavy black quilting thread for the lashes that look so wild. When I created this witch cloth doll I thought of those horror movies where the witches would transform into cats, so it occurred to me to make a doll like this, so she is from those old horror movies that we all have seen.  Kitten here has not quite quit the transformation from cat to human has one can see with those eyes of hers.  I hope you will stop in for a better look at Kitten the rag doll witch.
