Tubec Holiday Artisan Market
I have spent the week preparing some of my creations to send to the Tubec Holiday Artisan Market. I was contacted by one of the jury members to see if I would be interested in sending some of my wearable art vests and coats, and it ended up that I am also sending some purses, jewelry, pouches and magnet sets.
So I have been repackaging, repricing (to accommodate the 40% Gallery commision) and freshening up the items to be sent. Also did some checking for shipping rates, and it is a bit staggering what I will have to pay to send, and also send return fees for about 18 lbs. plus a whole lot of insurance.
Sure hope they have a lot of wealthy patrons of the arts down in Arizona!
I plan on sending everything by FedEx, since they are about $10 less than USPS, and they will be leaving New England on Monday if all goes as planned.
Meanwhile I have not been able to get any new items made for the studio, so once these are on their way I'm going to start a couple of elegant corsets, and Ren Faire garb, as well as a gorgeous mauve moirre' Victorian gown which I have been itching to get started on.
Also have to start thinking about what I'm taking to the Bethlehem CT Christmas Festival the first weekend of December....and that's a whole 'nother story. No rest for the wicked, as my Mother used to say frequently.

Welcome to my blog!
Thank you for stopping by my Artfire Studio Blog. I have just settled in, so be sure to check back soon.
This will be so easy to update...no more having to jump all over the web to do some posting!
Just added the first piece of Pirate gear to the studio, and as soon as I get more pictures taken and edited, I'll be adding 3 or 4 more pieces. The outfit's pieces were really fun to build, and were worn for about 4 hours to a Renaissance Faire on 10/11/09 in Hebron, CT.
