I knitted the "Valery" hat while we were on vacation last winter in Charleston. Well, not exactly this one, but it was then that I made this style for the first time. I made the first one in medium denim blue with black rolls. That's the one I wear because it matches my blue jacket.

When I've worn my hat in major cities like Philadelphia and New York, heads swivel. It's sooo unusual. People are used to all kinds of pretty hats, but this one struts!

I'm working on the next one now in a solid color: cream.  Can't wait to finish it.
