A word about borosilicate glass:

Most of my lampworked items are made from borosilicate ("boro" or "hard") glass. You may notice when looking at those items that the colors look different from one picture to another. That results from the color-shifting properties of boro under different lighting conditions. In sunlight or very bright indoor lighting the colors are extremely vibrant. Under lower-lighting situations the colors are darker and perhaps less eye-popping, but still beautiful. Also, fluorescent lighting versus incandescent lighting can make a difference! The colors you see are true to the lighting conditions when the picture was taken.
